We have been informed that a number of recipients have received phishing emails in their email account from scammers pretending to work for VAGENAS S.A., using a fake sending address and trying to fraudulently extract personal information.
Taking information security very seriously, we inform you that such malicious e-mails have not been sent by our company, and we ask you to be vigilant in case you receive such e-mails in order to prevent any fraud.
Here are a few precautions to take:
• Confirm the sender’s identity before replying to email requests and before opening attachments or clicking on links, even if they appear to come from a legitimate source.
• Do not respond to emails that appear to come from VAGENAS SA. (often misspelled or garbled) and ask you for bank account or card codes or lead you to malicious links. These are attempts to intercept and access your digital services or personal data.
• Consult your Information Technology department or IT consultant about any phishing attempts.
• Call us to validate communications originating from VAGENAS SA.
